FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you ship?

Xinh Boutique currently ships internationally to the United States and locally within Vietnam. Please make sure you aren’t in a hurry to receive your Xinh Boutique products as they are shipped internationally from Vietnam and the wait time is currently 5-6 weeks. If you need your purchase sooner than that please send a note to hello@xinhboutique.com and we will select an expedited shipper for an additional fee.

How much is shipping?

We charge a flat shipping rate of $15 USD to the United States and $5 USD locally within Vietnam.

How long will it take for my Xinh bag to arrive?

Xinh Boutique products are shipped internationally from Ho Chi Minh City via Vietnam Post. Due to Covid restrictions, the shipping time is currently 5-6 weeks. We will provide you with a tracking number so you can see the date that your product was shipped and any updates along the way.

If you require faster shipping we are happy to accommodate for an additional fee. Please send a note to hello@xinhboutique.com and we can provide you with options and prices.

Do you have a storefront?

No we don’t. But we do live in Ho Chi Minh City so if you’re in the neighborhood and want to pop by for a coffee and a chat we’d love to meet you!

And if you would like to request additional photos and/or information about one of our bags, please email us at hello@xinhboutique.com and we’d be happy to oblige.

How much are your artisans paid?

Our leather workers set their own price per bag based on the amount of labor and material that is used to create each unique piece. And the traditional fabrics that are used in Xinh bags and accessories are purchased in the markets of Sapa. Again, they set their own price but we do some haggling as is customary for market shopping in Vietnam. We end up at a price that satisfies both parties.

How do I care for my Xinh products?

Xinh Boutique handbags and accessories are made with leather that has been imported from Italy. It is “vegetable tanned” meaning there are no chemicals or paints used in our tanning process. So your leather will inevitably show wear over time as it gets scratches and scuff marks with use. But it also means that your bag will get softer and more supple over time.

You can protect your Xinh leather products from the elements by using a leather protector. And to correct minor scuffs and scraps, spot treat with a small amount of natural oil. We like to use coconut oil on our leather.

What is your return policy?

Due to the complexity of shipping out of Vietnam, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. Of course, we understand that things happen so if you are completely unsatisfied with your purchase we will do our best to make things right. Please email us at hello@xinhboutique.com so we can figure out a solution that works for you.

Xinh is not responsible for lost or missing packages. We will provide a tracking number so that you can follow your package on its journey to your doorstep.

International customers are responsible for any custom/duty fees that may be incurred in their own country.

What if my Xinh bag arrives with a defect?

Xinh bags are created using imperfect products. Our leather is of the highest quality but may incur a slight scratch or scuff from the time it leaves the cow to the time arrives on your doorstep. And because our fabric is handwoven and/or upcycled, there may be a loose strand or a slight discoloration.

Because your Xinh bag will be making a long journey all the way from Vietnam, we take every precaution to ensure that it arrives to you in pristine condition. If our packaging did not adequately protect your bag, please email us at hello@xinhboutique.com as soon as possible so we can assess and correct the situation.

Please do not expect a perfect product when you order a Xinh bag. We believe that these slight imperfections only add to the authenticity and uniqueness of our products. If your bag has a major defect that affects the visual appeal or usability of the bag, either through the manufacturing process or the shipping process, we will make every attempt to rectify the situation.
